tiny treasures
This study in black and white was inspired by a person who came into my life a few years back and has shaken me up (in a good way). I love the silver and green, I think it adds a lot to it, without it being too dark. This will be auctioned off at a fundraiser for the Great Northern Arts Festival. (November 2015)
Sweet Marie - October 2015 Named after Marie Anick because these are some of her favourite colours.
Sawu Bona - July 2015 Beaded this bad boy when I was in South Africa. The name is a Zulu greeting. This flower makes me happy - like when I'm walking around in Durban and I can hear lots of Zulu being spoken.
Turkey - February 2014 Turkey, because it's turquoise-y, but also because I was a turkey for not finishing this sooner. The centre of the petals and leaf have teeny-tiny (about 1 mm thick) little beads that i'm using for the first time.
Icy - April 2014
Setta and Little Blue - December 2013 Just in time for Christmas!
Millie- September 2014 This was made for Mrs. Mills who gave me back some of my stolen beadwork from the spring. She didn't want money, so I said I would make this for her instead. Much appreciation for her honesty. The brown beads are faceted, and bring a sparkle which is hard to capture on camera.
Lila - December 2013 "Lila" is German for "purple." This is only my second time making a six-petal flower and my first time working with delica beads. So glad she turned out a beauty!
Little Red - October 2015
Moo - May 2015 Keychain for my Mama.
Leafs - May 2015 Keychain for my Pops, done in Blue and White for his favourite team TML!
Blueberry - March 2013 Out of all 10 pieces of beadwork that were stolen from me, this is the only one that is still out there somewhere. I miss you, Blueberry.
Odeimin - Heartberry (Ojibwe) April 2013
