first stitches

These are my beginning attempts at beadwork.  I have come a long way.  Being mostly self-taught, I appreciate all the little tips, tricks, and imparted advice I've received along the way.  Beadwork is ever teaching me: I cannot list all the things I have garnered from this repetitive, beautiful act, but I promise they are many.  Creating things of beauty elevates my heart, opens my eyes, and enables me to connect with others.  I am so thankful for this humbling pursuit.

Chi Migwetch to Anne Goodman (RIP), Rosary Spence and Jean Paul Restoule who have taught me in one way or another in their own times...
