first stitches
These are my beginning attempts at beadwork. I have come a long way. Being mostly self-taught, I appreciate all the little tips, tricks, and imparted advice I've received along the way. Beadwork is ever teaching me: I cannot list all the things I have garnered from this repetitive, beautiful act, but I promise they are many. Creating things of beauty elevates my heart, opens my eyes, and enables me to connect with others. I am so thankful for this humbling pursuit.
Learning Curve - 2010
A culmination of traditional teachings, beadwork, friendship, time, the learning i did in my Community Healing and Peacebuilding class. I wanted to reflect that learning is uncomfortable sometimes, but it makes us grow.
